She had been in between sleep and wakefulness just now, and in a moment of hysteria, when she saw Alexander Summers walking towards the window, her mind went blank and she rushed over without a second thought.

Now that she had regained her composure, she realized how ridiculous her behavior had been.

Remembering the words Alexander had used to soothe her, she murmured softly, “Nonsense, I’m not that capable.”

Alexander wrapped her in his arms to lie down, his voice tinged with a teasing laughter, “You are very capable indeed. You miss me to death when we don’t see each other for a few days, you crave for my kisses so much that you could die when we don’t kiss for a few days, and when we don’t…”

His voice grew lower and lower until it submerged into the darkness, leaving only the increasingly rapid pants…

February was about to usher in the New Year.

Pearlpoint City welcomed a large number of overseas tourists all year round, making every day feel like a festival. When the traditional New Year actually arrived, it paradoxically lacked the festive spirit.

Early in the morning, Purple was awoken by Alexander Summers who said he had a surprise for her.

By the time the two of them arrived at the port, Purple noticed a strange-looking large vehicle parked in front of them, silver-grey and massive, somewhat like a bus but not quite.

Alexander pulled open the door and let her in.

The interior was luxurious and opulent, complete with a kitchen and a bathroom, beautifully arranged home furnishings, and a wide and comfortable double bed on the upper level.

This was a luxury RV.

Thanks to its clever design, one didn’t feel cramped at all; traveling inside it allowed for an extremely comfortable enjoyment of the passing scenery.

But why would Alexander buy an RV? No matter where they went, they always had a dedicated car and plane at their service, completely obviating the need for something like this.

As Purple was pondering this, the vehicle suddenly moved.

Purple turned her head and saw Alexander already sitting in the driver’s seat up front, having started the vehicle.

“Where are we going?” Purple leaned over, puzzled.

“We’re going out for the New Year,” Alexander’s eyes were focused on the road ahead, a faint smile playing on his lips. “Just the two of us, how does that sound?”

“Ah?” Purple was taken aback. “I didn’t bring anything!”

Change of clothes, toiletries, she had prepared nothing.

“Just bringing this little lazy pig is enough,” Alexander laughed. “Other things have been prepared by someone.”

“But where are we going?” Purple asked again.

Alexander, however, smugly teased her with a secret: “It’s a secret.”

“Show-off!” Purple poked his forehead with her finger.

Since Alexander wouldn’t tell, Purple didn’t press any further. He often acted on whims, and trusting in this, Purple contentedly played around in the RV.

She was curious about the bathroom’s design and after making a round there, she went to the kitchen.

Of course, the kitchen couldn’t compare to the one at home, but it had many built-in drawers for storage, and, upon pulling them open, she found them filled with food; the freezer was also packed full of chicken, duck, fish, and meat.

The RV’s second level was half designed for sleeping, the other half being a terrace, but since they were driving and the wind outside was strong, Purple didn’t go out, instead playing on the bed for a while.

Under the bed, there were two large drawers filled with clothes for her and Alexander, even including underwear.

She didn’t need to think to know that Alexander must have picked them out himself; he wouldn’t let a servant touch these things, maids included.

Purple, holding those intimate garments, found her cheeks unwittingly growing hot.

At that moment, she heard Alexander call her name.

“I’m thirsty, peel a tangerine for me,” he said.

Purple climbed down, picked what she thought was the plumpest and softest tangerine from the fruit basket, and went to the passenger seat in the front, peeling the tangerine and feeding it to Alexander segment by segment.

“It’s too sour.” Alexander freed a hand to grab Purple. “Give me a kiss to sweeten things up.”

“Stop messing around, you’re driving!” Purple dodged in fright. “Watch the road!”

“If you dodge again, I might just let go of the wheel,” Alexander threatened, pretending to release both hands from the steering wheel.

Terrified, Purple quickly pecked Alexander on the lips, and only then did he seem satisfied.
