She didn’t even glance back, focusing solely on herself.

After plopping down into the seat, she closed the car door, sat in the passenger seat hugging her small backpack, buckled her seatbelt, and remained silent.

Lu Xiao shot her a glance to make sure her seatbelt was fastened, then started the car again and demanded sternly, “What happened?”

Li Zaijun hung her head, silent.

With her short, ear-exposing haircut, her pale neck was visible as she bowed her head.

“Li Zaijun!”

As Wen Xian saw he was being a bit too harsh, she was about to speak up to intervene when she heard Li Zaijun suddenly become emotional, her voice hoarse as she shouted loudly:
