Lady Calamity had just led her pirates to repel an attack by the Magic Thieves, only to see the entire Jumping Nuclei guild disappear into thin air after they captured one of the Magic Thieves…

Only Juan Canyun remained inside the ruins.

Juan Canyun did not answer Lady Calamity. After Jumping Nuclei captured the Magic Thief named Medes, they temporarily abandoned their assault on the Melted Black Ruins instance and all teleported back to town to gang up on that Magic Thief.

The moment the brick was pressed, the ground beneath Medes’s feet cracked and collapsed instantly.

Medes looked expressionlessly at the spike impaled in his chest once again and turned his gaze toward his other two companions.

“Having fun?” Medes asked.

“…”

“That question… you should ask the holy spirits!” Wenna said irritably as she pulled out the spike embedded in her and threw it away.

But the moment she removed the spike, the sound of pistons moving arose from within the walls. Medes sensed something and readied to use an Ice Master’s ability, but it was already too late. Lava burst forth and engulfed Medes.

As the agony of being burned by lava hit Medes, extreme cold burst from his palms, and the lava around him solidified under the sweeping blizzard.

“Wenna! Do me a favor… and make sure you and your colleagues don’t touch anything!”

Medes, looking at the burns on his arm from the lava, suppressed the pain from the burns and began to heal himself with Holy Light Magic.
