By eight o’clock, Lu Weixi and Qin Zhiyou both woke up together. The toiletries he had bought before were still there, and after changing into new clothes, they pushed the door open together.

Coming face to face with them was Lu’s mom. Lu Weixi called out “Mom,” and Qin Zhiyou also nodded in greeting, but Lu’s mom didn’t show much reaction after looking at them.

Lu Weixi’s first thought was that Mom knew he was home, so it wasn’t a surprise for her to see them together. As for Qin Zhiyou, he was thick-skinned, so it didn’t bother him much.

Brushing his teeth halfway through, Lu Weixi suddenly remembered something and started coughing violently, almost swallowing his toothpaste.

Mom knew he had come back yesterday, but she didn’t know that Qin Zhiyou had carried her into the room later and they had slept together. Or was it that Mom had guessed that once Qin Zhiyou came over, he wouldn’t be so proper as to sleep on the sofa, and he would definitely sneak over to sleep with her at night?

After they finished washing up and returned to the room, Lu Weixi expressed her suspicions, and Qin Zhiyou indeed said, “It’s no big deal. Even if you hadn’t gone over to the sofa yesterday, I would have come over in the middle of the night.”

Lu Weixi rolled her eyes. She knew it, this guy was just like that! Stab him with a knife, and even the blood that comes out would be black!

But her eyes caught a glimpse of Qin Zhiyou’s coat hanging on the side, and she thought of the ring she felt yesterday–

She wondered under what circumstances would this guy give her the ring?

Perhaps with that thought, Lu Weixi didn’t continue to tease Qin Zhiyou. The two of them changed their clothes and headed out together.

Outside, Lu’s mom was already up and taking her medicine. Lu Weixi felt guilty and quickly conceded, “Mom.”

Lu’s mom didn’t respond, finished her medicine just as Secretary Wang knocked on the door, bringing hot breakfast.

Qin Zhiyou had already ordered yesterday for a pickup at eight-thirty. Perhaps seeing that it was Secretary Wang, even though he brought breakfast, Lu’s mom didn’t send him away. Instead, Qin Zhiyou took the breakfast and dismissed Secretary Wang, “You go to the company first, I’ll drive over myself later.”

Secretary Wang didn’t say anything and nodded farewell. Qin Zhiyou turned around with a pleasing look, “Xixi, Mom, let’s eat.”

“Who’s your mom? Don’t just claim someone as your mom,” Lu’s mom refused bluntly, but she still sat down at the dining table. Qin Zhiyou didn’t mind; he and Lu Weixi set up the tableware and placed the breakfast on the table, and the three of them ate quietly together. After they finished, Qin Zhiyou also proactively stood up, along with Lu Weixi, to put the dirty dishes back in the sink–though they didn’t have to wash them themselves, as there was naturally a maid to take care of it.

As they were leaving, Qin Zhiyou asked, “Shall I give you a ride to work?”

Lu Weixi shook her head, “I have errands to run today; it’s more convenient to drive myself.”

Qin Zhiyou didn’t insist, and the two of them drove off, one after the other.

But when she got off work, Lu Weixi received a message from her mother, “I had someone do a major cleaning today, we’re still tidying up, come back later.”

However, Qin Zhiyou entered the Lu Family’s door on time, and Lu’s mom looked at him calmly, asking, “Qin Zhiyou, do you really intend to remarry my daughter?”

Was that even a question? Qin Zhiyou nodded immediately.

Lu’s mom said, “I might agree, but I have one condition.”
