Chapter 373: Chapter 148: Decapitation Strike (Happy Mid-Autumn Festival, the 3rd update!)

Mu Fan’s palm passed over the control panel like a breeze.

The group of Star Thieves, who were still joking around, only saw Ivan’s mecha’s arm suddenly shake, and then sixteen Wind Chimes began to hover.

“Ivan, what the hell are you doing!?”

“Hey.”

Unfortunately, they would never receive a response from Ivan again.

The pilot of the Speed-Chasing S had been replaced by Mu Fan. Under his control, the sixteen Wind Chimes suddenly split into four groups, with four chimes each heading outwards; and between every two chimes, there was a significant gap.

This was a feigned eight-line operation formed by Mu Fan’s superior hand speed.

It created a break in each group, allowing for a secondary strike.

To the outside world, it appeared that the weapons unique to the Speed-Chasing S mecha were ready to launch!

“Damn it, is he crazy? Open fire!”

A ruffian with a cigarette in his mouth suddenly shouted and then fired a thick electric current from his Magnetic Shock Rifle.

And with that action, Mu Fan’s killing spree–officially began!

A Wind Chime about fifty centimeters in diameter whizzed towards the ruffian with a strange whistling sound.

Thud!

A loud noise struck at the heart of all the Star Thieves–their comrade was slammed directly into a metal wall!

His body was damaged beyond repair.

But it wasn’t over yet; a second strange sound of Wind Chimes rang out.

Before their eyes, the second Wind Chime forcefully collided with the first one.

Ding~

The crisp sound of the collision echoed throughout the Mecha Storage, and the nearby Star Thieves hadn’t even reacted when several Laser Beams shot out from the point of impact between the two chimes.

Five nearby ruffians were pierced through.

As the high-temperature light flashed by, these people lost consciousness without uttering a sound.

“This is the enemy, not Ivan! Fire!”

The remaining Star Thieves finally came to their senses.

Everyone raised their weapons.

At that moment, the right arm of Speed-Chasing S traced a semi-circle with its body as the center.

Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!

The remaining fourteen Wind Chimes were fired out and, amidst a series of crisp, pleasant collision sounds, a myriad of lights flashed.

In the relatively enclosed space, the Sixteen Wind Chimes displayed terrifying combat power.

The difference between human bodies and mechas was like a chasm; the Star Thieves’ last-ditch efforts to retaliate were as futile as scratching an itch to the mecha.

Before the last Star Thief died, he pressed against the communicator on the wall, calling out frantically–but all he heard was a busy signal.

Why wouldn’t the isolation doors open, and why couldn’t the voice communication get through…

A diffused Laser Beam pierced through his body, and with boundless resentment, the light faded from his eyes.

Watching on the screen as the Star Thieves were now completely lifeless, Mu Fan finally took his hands off the mecha’s control panel.

“The Mecha Storage has enough space to contain this mecha, but from this point on, you’ll have to make your own way,” Black reminded Mu Fan that this mecha’s utility was probably limited to this point.

“Mm,” Mu Fan replied as the hatch popped open. He left the cockpit without any hesitation, leaping from the eight-meter-high cockpit to the mechanical platform that had extended towards him.

“Was everything fully sealed just now?”

“Yes, all three entrances to the mecha cockpit have been locked.”

“Sync the warship data to my wristwatch. Can you detect the movement of the personnel on the other side? If so, please sync it as well.”

“No problem! A physical barrier has appeared near the command center, and it’s impervious to hacking, but data transmission from the other areas is complete.”

Mu Fan lightly tapped his wristwatch. A small 3D projection appeared, which he could freely rotate with two fingers, and by pinching and zooming with both hands, he could also enlarge and shrink the projection.

This was the technology provided by Black!

And Black, was the most crucial part of Mu Fan’s plan.

Three-quarters of the ship had turned green, indicating controlled regions, with only the tip of the warship near the bow still red and uncontrolled. On a narrow corridor, eight red dots were moving towards this location,

“Is the Star Thief leader among them?”

“Yes, I’ve confirmed through visuals just now. The Star Thief who was speaking with Lin Hao is among them–the fourth light spot. That’s him.”

In the middle of the team, huh?…

Above the image, a countdown for the enemy’s arrival was ticking down as thoughts flickered in Mu Fan’s eyes.

“Plan me a mid-route ambush. When I engage the enemy, remember–”

“Shut down all engine groups!!”

“Cut off the ship’s power!”

“Sever the ship’s communications!”

“Close all valves!”

“Leave it to me; this sounds thrilling! Mu Fan, you’re really starting to make use of your strength now, hahaha, with your rate of growth, no wonder the old man has such strong confidence in you.”

The sound of a metal clasp clicking shut resonated; swiftly, Mu Fan flicked his right arm, and a pitch-black dagger fell into his grasp.

The Solomon’s Hand Armor equipped with four different cold weapons, along with his own… night vision!

Then let it be a decapitation strike.

A faint glint pulsated in Mu Fan’s eyes.

“Route planning complete.”

A maintenance personnel-only passageway quietly slid open on the left.

His nostrils were filled with the pungent stench of blood; the corpses of over thirty Star Thieves lay mutilated, not a single one intact, and Sixteen Wind Chimes, having lost control from their Mechas, were silently embedded all around.

Beneath each, blood slowly seeped out.

Mu Fan beheld this hellish tableau without a ripple in his demeanor.

He passed by as if nothing was out of the ordinary; however, upon closer inspection, one could see he artfully avoided stepping in any blood, not even a drop staining the soles of his shoes.

It’s basic hunting knowledge not to let your own scent alert the prey.

Mu Fan’s silhouette vanished into the passageway.

The valves closed again, and the guiding lights on the ground continued to flicker silently.

…

“How come those runts in the Mecha Storage aren’t replying to me?”

“Probably listening to Ivan blow his own horn again, that guy loves to brag whenever he’s back.”

“Damn sloths, never doing anything serious. But the thought of seizing a Starship just sends shivers of excitement through me!”

“Hehe, the boss is brilliant! This will let our fleet expand even more.”

“Ha, those bandits who are content with plundering on the ground are so low-level. True Star Thieves should roam the cosmos!” Maxi said with excitement greasing his voice.

He had his eye on this Starship. Not bad, the hull seemed quite suitable for retrofitting into a Warship.

Time to replace those few old clunkers back at the base.

Hm?

The burly man suddenly raised his hand, and the team halted instantly.

“What’s going on, boss?”

Slow excitement gave way to emergent severity as a grim aura began to surface on Maxi’s face.

“Dozer, call Ivan directly.”

“Oh, right, boss.”

Sssss…

“The signal isn’t connecting; that shouldn’t be happening, not on our Warships.”

“Something’s not right; everybody, get on high alert–”

“Thud.”

A whisper-soft slicing sound cut through the air.

One of the eight Star Thieves at the back clutched his throat, collapsing before he could utter a word.

“Shit, we have trouble!”

This time no one waited for Maxi’s orders; everyone pulled out their guns and fired behind them simultaneously!

Bang bang bang bang!

No one there.

The sealed corridor here intersected with two others.

Stillness reigned behind them. Now, the seventh Star Thief’s forehead began to sweat involuntarily; the recently fallen comrade was right behind him.

Yet when he had turned around, he saw no one, heard no abnormal sounds.

Thump thump, thump thump…

His temples throbbed wildly.
